Throughout our series on the Holy Spirit, many spiritual gifts have been described, as well as their use in the church.
This week, Kirk takes a closer look at two spiritual gifts in particular: tongues and prophesy. Why are people given these gifts and how should they be used?

The most well-known verses on love- seen at weddings across the globe. Where would we be without love? Love is the best characteristic you can have in everything that you do, which is why Paul in his letter to Corinth says that you are only a clanging gong without love.

One Body, Many Parts || The Holy Spirit || 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

Your church is too small - at least, your view of what a church is, is too small. Many people see the church as a building, or a bureaucracy, or a Sunday service, but the bible describes the church more as a united body of people, filled with God's Holy Spirit, and given a variety of gifts so that together, we can do amazing things in the world.
Believers are given different gifts to do good things within the church and beyond- not everyone has the same gifts, and if they did, the church simply wouldn't operate. The number of volunteers that just make things happen behind the scenes would astound you. No one can say that they can do it all, and no one can say that they aren't needed in the body of Christ (that is, the church).

Having head knowledge about Jesus' life, death and resurrection isn't enough. Belief in Jesus, and acknowledging the need for grace because of our failures requires us to accept in our hearts, and voice that we need Jesus. In this episode of Christianity Explored, Andy and Tim tackle the need to repent, or chuck a U-ie, from the way we think our lives should be going, and let Jesus lead us.

Giver of Gifts || The Holy Spirit || 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

 
Healing, faith, prophesy, tongues - the list goes on. These are all names of spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit, but what do they mean, and why are they given to us? In this new series, we'll take a closer look at the Holy Spirit and its role in our relationship with God and each other.
This week, Julie takes us to Corinth, a city of great diversity and individualism not unlike modern Australia. In the letters written by Paul to the new Christians of this city, he describes these "spiritual gifts" and why we have them.

Who Would Jesus Vote For?

On the eve of the federal election, we're taking another look at Kirk's talk just before the 2016 election, asking "who would Jesus vote for?". While we won't tell you how to vote, we'll look at how we can approach the election in a way that's God honouring.
