On our 154th Anniversary, we give thanks to God for the life and ministry of St John's. But what would have happened if 154 years ago, the founders of St John's said "Lock it in!" and kept everything exactly the same? Or if, when laying the foundation stone, they said "Great! Job done." and didn't complete the building?

Give thanks in all you do:
Wake up in the morning - give thanks to God for your comfy bed.
Eat your breakfast - give thanks to God for yummy food.
Go to work or school - give thanks to God for work and education.
Being grateful is good for us; it increases the quality of your sleep, reduces stress, and decreases the likelihood of suicide.
Paul writes in his letter to the Colossians that we should be grateful for Jesus in all we do:
Wake up in the morning - give thanks to God for Jesus.
Eat your breakfast - give thanks to God for Jesus.
Go to work or school - give thanks to God for Jesus.

Even through some of the longest times in lockdown in the world, we've got a lot to be thankful for - and psychologists have found those who count their blessings are more likely to have a generally positive attitude in life.
Paul, writing the letter to the Colossians, was locked down too - in jail. Delle kicks off our Thank FULL series exploring how Paul was able to find things to be thankful to God for in the midst of his imprisonment.
